When living the Minnesota lake life, why wouldn't you have a dog photo session in your yard during the most beautiful golden hour? Dougie and Russel (and their humans) graciously welcomed me into their lovely yard for an evening of photos, chin scritches, and fetch.
Some dogs take a minute or two to warm up to strangers, but these two were photo-ready from the moment I arrived and were so excited to show off their fetching abilities, both on land and in the water. This session involved a lot of play and fun for Dougie and Russell, which is my favorite thing to capture with my camera.
Photo sessions don't need to be complicated. They can be a regular summer evening at home, just with a photographer there, too - of course!
